ekey®
TOCAnet links several biometric terminals via an efficient
network. It comes with a simple to use Windows PC based
system to administer users, terminals, access times and
access authorization. Access control defining individual
time windows or user rights, as well as temporary access
for guests or external employees is possible.
ekey® TOCAnet consists of a control panel containing
three dry contact relays and a scanner unit used to scan
the finger and encode it. The control panel and scanner
are paired to prevent unauthorised tampering. The control
panel is connected to a 220-240 V AC power source and
is connected with a standard four-pole cable to the scanner.
The three dry contact relays in the control panel can
be connected to any electrical device (e.g. digital cylinder,
electric strike, electro magnet, alarm).
Potential applications include all areas where a networked
access control solution is required. ekey® TOCAnet
is scalable from a simple two door application in a single
location to a large network consisting of hundreds of
doors across multiple locations.
ekey® TOCAnet combine convenience and security at
a reasonable price. For the very first time, biometrics
is affordable for the mass market.
